NO CRISIS AT CHELSEA

Chelsea defender Jose Bosingwa has once again said that Chelsea do not have any crisis at the moment, despite many press reports suggesting otherwise. He also added that manager Andre Villas-Boas as the full backing of all the players. There have been reports of many dressing room unrest within the Chelsea squad. It has been one of the reasons for Chelsea underperforming in the domestic and European campaign this season. Andre Villas-Boas was thought to have cost Chelsea around £ 30 million in total to bring him to Stamford Bridge. However, early reports suggested that he may not be at the end of the season after overseeing one of the poorest Chelsea performances in a season.

Former Brazilian manager Scolari currently has the record for being the worst Chelsea manager under Roman Abramovich. New manager at Chelsea, Andre Villas-Boas has managed to comfortably beat that record but having a win percentage of just 45%. Chelsea have recently gone behind Arsenal in the Premier league table, which now puts a doubt into their prospects of qualifying for the Champions League next season. Roman Abramovich has been a frequent visitor at the Chelsea’s training ground, which has prompted suggestions that Andre Villas-Boas could be sacked within the next few weeks.

“To finish outside of the top four at the end of the season will be a disaster, so we promise to carry on fighting and we need the support of the fans. The dressing room has confidence in the coach. Villas-Boas is a good coach and he’s demonstrated that with his success in Portugal,” Bosingwa told reporters amidst rumours of a dressing room rift between the players. It is thought that Andre Villas-Boas is keen on shipping out the players signed by former Chelsea manager José Mourinho.
